Special Sunday Offering
August 24, 2008

A Special Offering for Disciple Bible Outreach Ministries will be received in the churches of the WNCC and NCC on August 24, 2008.  Offering envelopes have been provided for each church and are available in the district offices.  A promotional DVD will be available for use on DBOM Sunday from the district offices beginning August 1.  For additional information or offering envelopes call 336-454-5348 or e-mail MCHicks@northstate.net.

 DBOM Outreach Training

Volunteer training for the Disciple Prison Ministry and RINGS OF FELLOWSHIP Ministry will be held at Jamestown United Methodist Church on Saturday, August 23 from 10 AM-3 PM.  Lunch will be provided.  This training is required of all new DBOM outreach volunteers.  In agreement with the NC DOC and NC DJJDP, only those with a valid DBOM certification are permitted to teach DISCIPLE or RINGS in the NC institutions.  (Those previously certified by DBOM and who hold current certification through August 2009 need not attend this training.)  For more information call 336-454-5348.
